75th Annual National Conference - Inverness - October 15th-18th

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

The Final Agenda will give details of the content of sessions, but the following provisional timetable is provided for delegates as an outline:

Thursday 15th commencing 1.00pm, closing 5.00pm

Friday 16th commencing 10.00am, closing 5.00pm

Saturday 17th commencing 10.00am, closing 5.00pm

Sunday 18th commencing 10.00am, closing 3.00pm

2. SUBMISSION OF RESOLUTIONS

[including amendments to the Constitution & Rules]

Resolutions may be submitted online via from the members section of the website, www.snp.org. Resolutions submitted in this manner should be submitted by the Secretary of the Organisation making the submission, and will automatically be copied to the Convener of the Organisation.

Resolutions may also be submitted by email to ian.mccann@snp.org in line with the procedures outlined in the Rules on Conduct and Procedure for National Conference.

A downloadable form will also be available on the Party website for written submission. You are reminded that organisation of Conference will be in accordance with the Constitution, Rules & Standing Orders, copies of which are available to download from the SNP website.

The deadline for resolutions is 09h00 on 26 June.

3. NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the:

National Office Bearers, Two Ordinary Members of National Executive Committee (parliamentarians); Six Ordinary Members of the National Executive Committee (non-parliamentarians); Elected Members of National Council (Fifteen); Standing Orders and Agenda Committee (Six); Appeals Committee (Seven); Disciplinary Committee (Nine) must be submitted by 31 July 2009.

A Nomination Form will be available from the Party website.

4 REPRESENTATION AT CONFERENCE

Representation at Conference is governed by Clause 9.2 of the Constitution, and by Clause 1 of the Rules on Conduct & Procedure of National Conference. Calculation of Branch delegate entitlement will be made on the basis of membership as at 8 May 2009 and will be sent in a separate mailing.

5. CONFERENCE FRINGE

A Conference Fringe Programme will be compiled for issue with the Final Agenda on Friday 18 September 2009, detailing meetings and exhibitions at Conference.

6. CONFERENCE TIMETABLE

The timetable for submission of material and relevant dates is enclosed. All organisations should ensure their meetings are organised to fit in with this timetable as deadlines will be strictly observed.

Any material submitted late will be disregarded.
